Steve has 37 years’ experience working within the UK electricity generating industry. He has held a number of key engineering and management jobs in different UK power stations. Since 1996 he has been involved at a senior operational management level at the forefront of biomass ‘waste to energy’ schemes. Steve is a CEGB trained power station engineer, business manager and strategic thinker with a proven track record. He was plant manager at the Fibropower, Eye and FibroThetford renewable power stations and his record is well known within the renewable energy sector. He has an in depth appreciation of the technical, financial and regulatory requirements needed for project success. As one of its founding directors, Steve has been instrumental in the development of the business strategy, which has seen Stewart Thermal achieve a high degree of prominence in the technical service provision sector of renewable energy development both in the UK and around the world. Steve’s wide-ranging experience in the ‘waste to energy’ industry means that he brings a wealth of technical and commercial understanding to effective engineering problem solving. Relevant projects and experience includes: - › Manager of UK’s first biomass power station – Fibropower (12.5MW) › Manager of Europe’s largest biomass power station – Fibrothetford (38.5MW) › Commissioning, maintenance and operations of power stations › Technical Director to Biomass Heating Solutions (Non-executive) › Experienced technical ‘Due Diligence’ assessor.
